I HATE Storms

This is pretty much what is going on in my neighborhood.

And this is always a little freaky to see flying over your house. 

And here you can read about my neighbor Tim Elswick who had a tornado that landed in his yard! 

And people wonder why I am scared of storms! 

The Storm....

If you have read this blog at all then you know that I am deathly afraid of storms! 

Its issue and after last night I might have to see a professional about my storm fear! 

I watch the 10pm news and they said storms are coming but I really didnt feel like it would be a big deal. I mean they do say every other day we are going to have the ice storm of the year and nothing ever happens. 

I am in my melatonin sleep and my phone starts going crazy! I check it and turn on the TV and its my worse nightmare!

"Its worse then we thought"

I jump up get my rain coat, lantern, my cell and call my Mom and text my brother! 

I WAS FREAKING OUT! 

I swear at one point I was spinning in my den because I didnt know what to do but cry! 

I made the mistake of going outside - I swear you could see the wind and I could just hear trees breaking. 

At this point I am sprinting to my basement. 

The whole time talking to my Mom, Texting with my brother and my friends. 

It all lasted about 30 minutes but it seemed like forever! 

Hands down the worst storm I have ever witnessed! 

This metal was all over my yard and I just could not figure out where it was from! 

My brother came over and said that it wasnt even from my house!

Can you believe that?

 I cant believe it blew that far! 

This piece of metal was wrapped around a tree in my front yard. 

My poor sidewalk...

I wish I could describe to you how far away this bird feeder was from where it was hanging! 

Im pretty sure that the gutters are supposed to be attached to the house. 

Here is the top half of my bird bath - not idea where the bottom went. 

My back yard and that is not even all of it. 

Honestly I feel blessed because this is my neighbors house!

That is his sons room but thank goodness he was not there. 

WOW! 

I just cant believe that this even happened.

Monday, Monday

Here we are on this cloudy, dreary Monday!

But I do not have to be cloudy and dreary! 

 I am telling you I am on fire when I start my week off right with a good workout! 

Everyone at work knows when I workout before work because I am 100 mph!

Maybe its a legit thing or just a mental thing but either way I will take it because I like the feeling :) 

This weekend was spent at home but super busy! 

I had workman coming and going and there was lots of puppy looking! 

I got new garage doors and they had to come out a fix something on one of the doors.

Then I had people coming by to give me estimates on other projects! 

Its expensive to fix up your house!! 

I always knew that it was but MAN its different when you are the one writing the checks. 

Then I have been eyeing these sweet things....

I want a Great Dane and I have for awhile now BUT it is just not fair for the puppy for me to get one.

I work a TON right now and it is not fair to keep that sweet thing crated all day. 

Once my schedule slows down some I will be getting one FOR SURE!! 

I mean look at the face!!!!!

Check out the crazy NASHVILLE weather this week..

I mean we have tornadoes one day and snow the next!

Cookies

Lets talk cookies this morning.

My family is going to roll their eyes about this post because every Christmas I make the cutout cookies and every year I have big plans to decorate them so cute and every year they turn out looking like a preschooler  makes them.

WHAT IN THE STARS AM I DOING WRONG! 

I have tried different dough recipes, different icings but its always a hot mess! 

THEN I get on Pinterest and see all the cute cookies and it just makes me mad! 

There is no way an actual human made these cookies...

Why didnt the cookie spread in the oven?

How is icing and writing perfect?

Ok I am done now :)

Heres to a short week! 

I hope everyone had a good Monday off!

Its getting longer and longer between each post! 

I need to come up with a better system - I usually start a post at night and finish it in the morning but lately that is just not happening.

UGH...

Anyways I have been a busy bee since my last post! 

I went to DC for work but we did have a little exploring time...

We went to the Holocaust Museum

This was a prayer room in the museum that I thought was AMAZING!

After the Museum everyone needed a pick me up and off to Georgetown Cupcakes we go! 

It was super cute inside but WAY smaller then I thought it would be based off what I have seen on the show! 

I LOVED all the pink - it was too cute!

Does it get any better? 

Dean & Deluca coffee is like heaven to me - I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! 

Speaking of cupcakes...

Dont judge but we hit up Sprinkles too and I have to say they won the cupcake challenge for sure! 

Over the weekend we had a girls night and I just love the ladies and so happy to have them as friends!

Red Carpet for Golden Globes

Oh stars its another Monday morning! 

Its dreary and cold here in Nashville this morning.

We went from the upper 60s yesterday morning to the 30s last night and we all know that equals a sinus headache! 

Anyways we had a red carpet last night and if you have been reading this blog long then you know I LOVE me a red carpet!!! 

Tina and Amy did an AMAZING JOB! 

I wished they would have had more air time though.

I cant believe I am going to say this because I am not a fan but I thought Hayden Panettiere looked Amazing!

Her clutch on the other hand I think came from Claires...OOPS! 

I am a Giuliana Rancic fan and I thought the looked pretty but the shoulders on that dress bother me a little!

I thought Francesca Eastwood looked gorgeous but girl needs to stand up straight! 

Jennifer Garner - STUNNING! 

Her and Ben were the couple of the night FOR SURE! 

I loved everything about Miranda Kerr!

I mean when does she not look amazing but I loved her dress and the color! 

I just love these 2!

I feel like they are a class act couple! 

I love everything about Kate Hudson! 

She is the perfect definition of Healthy to me!

Her skin is always amazing.
